Depression Counselling Vancouver
How can Depression Counselling Help?
Depression can make everything feel heavier—getting through the day, connecting with others, even caring for yourself.
You might feel stuck, numb, or like you're just going through the motions. You want to feel more like yourself again—but you're not sure where to start.
You don’t have to do this alone.
As your therapist, I’m here to walk alongside you. I take an integrative and collaborative approach, meaning we’ll work together to find what truly supports your healing.
Here’s how we’ll begin:
We’ll create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can talk about what’s really going on. We’ll look at how past experiences and current stressors may be shaping your mood.
Together, we’ll:
Set realistic, meaningful goals
Reframe negative thoughts
Build tools for communication, boundaries, and self-advocacy
Explore practical coping strategies like relaxation, stress relief, and problem-solving
You’ll start to feel more empowered, more connected, and more able to care for yourself and your relationships.
There is a path forward—and we’ll take it together, one step at a time.
Finding the right support matters. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation so we can connect, talk about what you're looking for, and see if working together feels like a good fit. You're not alone—let’s start the conversation.

I support people facing many forms of depression, including:
Adults
Struggling with big life changes, relationship stress, work burnout, or health concerns can weigh heavily on your mental health. You may feel stuck, numb, or like you’re not yourself anymore.
Older Adults
You may be adjusting to retirement, living with chronic illness, or grieving the loss of loved ones or independence. Depression in older adults is often overlooked — but it’s real, and it deserves care.
Teens and Adolescents
Young people today face intense school pressure, bullying, social anxiety, and hormonal shifts — often while struggling to express how they feel. I create a space where teens feel heard, respected, and supported.
People Living with Chronic Illness
Conditions like diabetes, autoimmune diseases, or heart problems can take a toll not just on your body, but on your emotional well-being. It’s okay to name the grief, fear, and frustration that come with long-term health challenges.
Individuals Facing Substance Use and Mental Health Struggles
When substance use and depression overlap, it can feel like a cycle that’s hard to break. I offer compassionate, non-judgmental support for people working through both.
People from Marginalized Communities
If you’re part of a racialized, LGBTQSIA+, immigrant, or Indigenous community, you may carry the added weight of discrimination, stigma, and intergenerational trauma. I provide culturally aware, identity-affirming care that recognizes the bigger systems at play.
You are not broken — you are human. And healing is possible.
Let’s work together to reconnect with your inner strength and help you move forward with more ease and self-compassion. -

The amount of therapy sessions you may need will vary depending on your goals. Healing is often not a linear process. I believe that long-term sustainable change and transformation is a process that does not involve a ‘quick fix’.
Counselling is most effective when it is regular and consistent.
I offer deep, ongoing therapy, which works best when we meet regularly. Because of that, I ask for a commitment to weekly or bi-weekly sessions.

Walk & Talk Therapy is a form of outdoor counselling in which physical activity and exposure to nature are a part of the therapeutic approach.
Movement can help decrease anxiety and depression. Evidence suggests that engaging in movement can also reduce intrusive thoughts (unwanted thoughts that cause significant distress) and rumination (the tendency to repeatedly think about the same thing, often in the form of negative thoughts).
Walking is known to be a method of stress management and exposure to nature can help the nervous system relax. Walking has been shown to help with “releasing” and coping with aggression or irritation.
Walk & Talk Therapy can improve emotion regulation and awareness and improve one's ability to cope with life transitions. Walking is a literal, physical way to keep moving forward.
